As a prerequisite to taking the course officials must be qualified to J1 and have completed 20 post qualification hours.

Individual Sign Up
You will need to register at https://www.swimming.org/sport/become-swimming-judge-level-2/ where, as part of sign-up process, the system will check Open Engage (the Swim England membership database) for your Judge 1 attribute and your age to ensure you are eligible.
The fee of £10 will be paid online as part of the sign-up process
This will then:
Add the “Judge 2 in training” attribute to your Swim England record.
A notification email will then be sent to the Regional Officials Coordinator for their information; your J2 Trainee status will also be included on the quarterly download of licensed officials
Your details will also be sent to the Officials Development Coordinator who will send you your logbook.
It is the responsibility of me 'the course leader' to check before the first workshop session that the requisite number of practical hours have been completed to commence training.
It is possible to download a report from Swim Meet for this purpose. Just add additional hours to this spread sheet and send to me - chrishirst.swim.ref@btinternet.com

A link to the course will be sent out on the morning of the course. Anyone signing up after 11.59pm on the previous day may not receive the link.

Officials Sign-Up

The Swim-Meet Officials' Sign-Up software allows club officials' coordinators to distribute a sign-up web address to potential officials.

Officials tick their available sessions, enter their details and any special requests such as mentoring for the next level.

The coordinator and official receives an email when officials sign up. The coordinator, lead referee, meet organiser and club chairman can see the live sign-up rate and any gaps are highlighted.

The coordinator can add the lead referee as an administrator to assign jobs to officials. Configure which jobs you want to fill depending upon long or short course and level of meet.

The job schedule along with the officials' qualification and membership number can be exported to Excel with a tab for each session to produce the tick sheet on the day and the meet report.

It is GDPR compliant. The Swim-Meet privacy policy is here. Data is stored securely, it won’t be given to anybody (except British Swimming to meet their meet regulations) and the official has the right to see what data is held about them and correct or delete it here.
